To secure your appointment at Devi Maine, you'll need to provide a non-refundable 50% deposit at the time of booking. This deposit serves as confirmation of your appointment and will be applied toward your final bill during checkout. An invoice will be sent to you prior to your appointment, and I kindly request that you make the payment within 24 hours to ensure your booking is confirmed. Failure to settle the invoice within this time frame may result in the cancellation of your appointment. For your convenience, the remaining balance can be settled using another card, cash, or Venmo during checkout.
As for my valued Devi Members, there's an exclusive option available. You have the opportunity to establish a rolling deposit on your account, eliminating the need to submit a deposit for each appointment. This deposit can be utilized on your last appointment or to cover any last-minute cancellations. It's a flexible and convenient feature I offer to show my appreciation for your loyalty as Devi Members.
Kindly note that payment for all services is due at the conclusion of your appointment. Neglecting to settle the payment will regrettably lead to the cancellation of all upcoming appointments, inclusion in our salon's blacklist, and the involvement of authorities if necessary. In cases of continued non-payment, legal actions might be initiated to address the matter of unpaid services. Although I would love to accommodate pets and service animals, my dog Tara comes to work with me. She stays in her crate and loves people, however she is not always friendly to other pets and would bark the entire appointment, disrupting other tenants in the building. If you are comfortable coming without your support/service animal I would be happy to work with you, if not I understand and you can contact one of the other nails techs on the 'Trusted Techs' tab of my website to check their availability.
To create a serene, respectful and safe atmosphere for all, we kindly ask that you refrain from using your phone during your visit. While we understand emergencies may arise (you may keep your ringer on just in case), we encourage you to embrace this moment of self-care by disconnecting from your phone. But while in service please refrain from using your phone to text, look for nail art pictures and take non-emergency phone calls, as distractions while service is being provided can be dangerous.
An additional cost may apply if a service exceeds the allotted scheduled time. Prices are calculated based on an hourly rate and charged in 15 minute increments. This cost is associated with various reasons, including but not limited to extra cuticle work, nail plate correction, broken nail fixes, time searching for colors and designs, nail art, and shape changes. I strive to provide high-quality services within the scheduled time frame, and any additional time required for these specific needs incurs an extra charge. My goal is to ensure the best results for your nails while maintaining transparency in my pricing structure.
To ensure the best possible experience and results for your nail art services, we kindly request that you send us pictures of your desired nail art at least two days in advance. This allows us to adequately prepare and allocate the necessary time for your appointment, as well as set realistic expectations. If pictures are not provided in advance and we need to spend extra time searching for designs during your appointment, the additional time will still be charged, even if the nail art cannot be accommodated within the allotted time. In the event that your card on file is required to process a cancellation fee and the card transaction is declined, I will promptly notify you. You'll have until the close of the business day to rectify the situation, with the option to make the payment via Venmo or receive an online invoice for convenient settlement. To ensure seamless future transactions, a new card must be provided during your next appointment, and payment for that session will be processed using the newly updated card - to ensure the card is sufficient.
In the scenario where your card is declined and payment isn't resolved by day's end, a $10 late fee will be applied for each subsequent day of non-payment. Beyond a grace period of 5 days, any outstanding balance could result in the cancellation of future appointments. Furthermore, continued non-payment might lead to legal actions being taken, including potential small claims court proceedings, to address the matter of unfulfilled payments. (Valid under “collecting a debt for goods or services owed by an individual or small business under Maine State Law)
All cancellations and reschedules require 48 hour notice to avoid further charges. You will receive your first text reminder (check your Vagaro account to be sure you are subscribed to texts) at 72 hours, this should give you plenty of time to cancel or reschedule if need be.
* If you reschedule your appointment well in advance (a week+), you may use your deposit towards your next appointment, as long as said appointment is booked within 30 days of your original appointment. (pending my availability)
* If you cancel your appointment at any time (with no intention of rescheduling in the near future), your full deposit will be kept.
* If you cancel within the 48 hour cancellation window, your full deposit will be kept and the cancellation will be added to your cancellation history. Too many cancellations may result in refusal to book services in the future.
* If you cancel day of or no-show me, 100% of the service cost is due as I am not often able to fill such last minute cancellations. The remaining 50% (the other half of your deposit) will be charged to your card on file. If you remove your card and refuse to pay the remaining balance, you will be blocked from booking with me again.
Deposits are non-transferable. You may not use a deposit for a distant (more than 30 days) future appointments or transfer another clients deposit to cover your services.I understand that unexpected situations happen, but cancellations result in a loss of income for me. Reserving time in advance makes it difficult to fill last-minute cancellations, affecting my business. Your understanding of the cancellation policy is appreciated.
I provide a complimentary one-week nail fix service for your convenience. While my clients typically enjoy long-lasting results without chipping or breaks for 3-4 weeks, I understand that unexpected issues can occur. If you encounter any concerns with your nails within the first week, we'll gladly address and fix them at no extra charge. However, please note that fixes requested outside this time frame may incur a fee, as they are often the result of improper care and heavy use. If there are continual issues within a weeks time, we will need to discus your after care routine and evaluate if your lifestyle is the best fit for my services.

I require all previous product to be removed before my application process. This is because I cannot guarantee compatibility with products from other nail technicians. Each product line is designed as a system for optimal results, and I want to ensure your satisfaction by using products that blend well together. Additionally, preserving the integrity of your natural nails is a top priority for me. When evaluating and manicuring the natural nail myself, I can provide a personalized experience and tailor the results to meet your specific needs.
For health reasons, I am unable to remove products from external salons. As I have allergies to certain products, I cannot risk my health by handling unknown substances. Please ensure you remove any products applied by other salons prior to your appointment. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your appointment and full charges for the reserved time.
While my standard policy doesn't typically cover removals from other salons (please refer to the Removal Policy), I understand that exceptions may arise. If you find it challenging to remove previous products, I can, in certain cases, provide removals. It's important to note that these must be scheduled separately and well in advance, ensuring ample time for a thorough assessment of your natural nails and proper healing if necessary.
However, please be aware that disregarding both removal policies, arriving with unapproved product, or scheduling inadequate time for removal may result in declined service with full payment required. Similarly, if a removal takes up your entire appointment slot, the full service cost remains applicable regardless of its completion. Your understanding of these guidelines is greatly appreciated as they allow us to maintain quality service and ensure optimal nail health.

I do not, I require all previous product to be removed prior to my application process. Simply because I am not able to guarantee another nail techs work.
I have no way of knowing if my products will react well or blend well with theirs, each product line is made to be used as a system for best results, and I would never want someone to leave my sAlon less than satisfied because the two systems are not compatible.
Also, natural nail integrity is very important to me, and I like to be able to properly evaluate and manicure the natural nail myself before a manicure or full set.
This way I know exactly what I’m working with and can cater your experience and results to best suit your needs!
I have an allergy to some products and cannot risk my own health to remove said products. If you are looking to come in for a service and have anything besides soak off gel polish, please get the product removed prior to coming in. Thank you for understanding.

I do not. I personally don’t offer just color/polish changes, because there are steps necessary to ensure lasting results, such as cuticle care and nail prep. Without these steps I am not able to guarantee my work, and I would hate for someone to be dissatisfied because their manicure doesn’t last.
