WHAT IS DEVI MAINE?
Devi Maine is a culmination many small dreams finally becoming a reality, together.
D.E.V.I or Devi is both an acronym and the name of a divine goddess.
Devi is THE goddess. She is the mother of all goddesses.
She the embodiment of all goddesses, and is incarnated over and over as some of history's most notorious goddesses. "Devi, also known as Mahadevi or 'Great Goddess', is an all-embracing Mother Goddess first worshipped in India in Prehistoric times. In the Vedic period, she was assimilated into the Hindu pantheon and so came to represent the female energy or Sakti (Power) of her husband Shiva. Devi is most often manifested as the fearsome female warriors Durga and Kali, both of whom famously killed a number of terrible demons in Hindu mythology. Devi is also the mother of Nandi, Shiva's doorkeeper and bull; Skanda, the six-headed god; and Ganesha, the elephant-headed god."
She is revered as the keeper of heaven and earth, the balancer of good and evil and the creator of all feminine energy.

This is the full name of the business and the embodiment of all that I hope to offer to my valued clients. When I decided I wanted to pursue my passion as a nail tech again, I knew it was going to be different this time. It had to mean something more, It needed to be deeper. I love being a nail tech, but I wanted to connect with people on a deeper level and be a part of their healing and their joy. This is where the idea for the GODDESS SPA was born. An opportunity for me to combine my talents as a nail tech with my passion of genuine connection. Calling on the divine energy of the mother goddess, Devi, and asking for her support as we call in vibration raising intentions together. Using energy work and various metaphysical modalities we tap into her strength and wisdom to create a life fully in alignment with our highest good.

Emma has blended her knowledge of reiki, aromatherapy, astrology, crystals and Oracle reading with her talents as a nail tech. Offering a personalized ritual for each guest, aiding you in letting go of that which no longer serves you and calling in deliberate intentions to uplift and empower you in your everyday life.
Meet the Emma
EMMA YOUNG
"I was born and raised in Lincolnville, Maine. One of many in a long line of local descendants, my roots are deeply embedded in the Midcoast, it will always be my true home.
l am a graduate of Camden Hills Regional High School (class of 2012), and my continued education is as a licensed Nail Technician in the state of Maine.
I started my career in 2013 in Belfast. After some time I moved on to work in the spa at the Samoset, eventually being promoted to the head Nail Tech there. I then went on to work for a few local salons, one of which I was able to flourish and build my reputation and my local clientele.
I was beyond blessed to have one the industry's best local talents as my direct mentor, and friend. She taught me everything I know, from knowing and charging my worth, to perfecting the customer experience and providing me many opportunities to continue my education and be the best tech I could be. Here I also gained insight into the inner workings of the business, as a salon manager.
Over the years I have had ample exposure to many salon + spa atmospheres, lots of continued education and trainings on the best practices from industry icons. I pride myself greatly on my attention to detail and my knowledge of client safety and sanitation, ensuring a clean and relaxing experience for each guest.
I have also been fortunate enough to have been published in national magazines for my work and I was voted Knox County Best of the Best Nail Technician 4 years in a row before I moved to southern Maine. I look forward to returning to the Midcoast to be your favorite Nail Tech again!
